This lushly illustrated picture book focuses on Frida Kahlo’s time in San Francisco. She is still early in her career, and along with struggling to find her identity as a painter, she is lonely in a cold, gray city that is very unlike her home. As she makes her way in this new place, she also discovers herself as an artist, painting one of her earliest, most recognizable works: Freida and Diego Rivera. This is a fantastic introduction to Frida’s life for young children, ages 4-8.
This is just one of the great new books we have in the library. Check out our display and take one home with you!
