The Mysterious Sherlock Holmes

Originally published as stories in the British Magazine “The Strand,” the unique characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle have remained popular.    Doyle was born in 1859 in Edinburgh and died in 1930, however, detective Sherlock Holmes lives on in the many adventures.  Doyle received a medical education and worked as a physician, which is evident in the crime solving skills of the characters.
